Temporary Digs

Greetings, faithful followers!  I apologize for the long delay in an update.  We have been busy, but more than anything, I suffer from anxiety issues which sometimes prevent me from being productive and/or social.  I had a relapse in symptoms this week.  Not fun, but I'm dealing.

As you can see, nothing much has changed on our house other than a very sexy plywood sign which features our house number.  Holler!

This is the entrance to our subdivision.  Take note of the extra-fancy "e" at the end of "Point." It really adds that something extra.  Literally.  It's an extra letter.

And here is Nolan cuddling with some puppies in our apartment.  While the apartment is a nice change from the hotel, it's still not the best living situation.  Nolan's bedroom is tiny, the shower stall was designed for midgets, and the counters were "updated" with this weird spray-on faux granite stuff.  Only three more months to go until we move into our new swanky house!  But who's counting, right?

Other than those things, there's not too much to report.  Nolan starts swimming lessons on Thursday, Brian is enjoying his work, and I am enjoying not being in school (for a couple more weeks).

Stand by for more updates.  Thanks for reading!

  1. We love your blogs--keep 'em coming!
Glad to hear that Nolan is taking swimming lessons. With the fancy new digs that you're living in having not one but two swimming pools, swimming lessons are a must.
We're thinking of you, Margie. There is a light at the end of the tunnel for all this madness (no pun intended!). Knowing that you'll be settling into your new place in a very short time will help relieve some of the stress you're experiencing.
Take care and know that you're loved! xxoo

  2. Sorry you're having some anxiety struggles. Please call me if that happens again! I know I can't say very much to help, but isolation is not good for anxiety as we both know.

Also, I love your blog. And I miss you. A lot. I was in San Antonio for work this week and really wanted to figure out how to get to your neck of the woods, but since Texas is insanely big, that was not an option.

OH!!! Have you discovered the joy of the Texas Turnaround?

    1. What is Texas Turnaround?

We saw that you were in Texas, but San Antonio is like a 5-hour drive. Texas is ginormous!

    1. Thanks Natalie! I miss you, your hubby, and my favorite triplets very much. Speaking of blogs, are you still updating yours? I tried to use a link for it the other day and it wasn't working. :(

  4. Margie and All,
I miss you guys, too. Can't believe you are soooooooooooooo far away. I don't know if we will ever get to texas but as I was born in New Mexico I am hoping to go there some day before I die...is texas close? Geography is not my strong suit.

Call me, call somebody but don't get immobilized by anxiety. There are some great pills out there for that. I know cause I am on one. I always found a visit to the grocery store got me headed in the right direction---towards the ice cream! Do know that you are not alone and anxiety is common and a shared struggle for many who don't even know its name...

Exciting that you will have a lovely new home---by Christmas?? I love seeing projects/homes in progress so keep me posted!
    Hugs to you three,
    Love,
    sherry

    1. Sherry, thank you so much for the nice comment! It actually brought tears to my eyes.

New Mexico is right next to Texas. Apparently, there are some good ski resorts there so we are hoping to hit it up this winter or next. Otherwise we're off to Colorado!

Please hug and kiss my favorite triplets for me! I miss them very much. Oh, and their parents, too.

      Much love to you!
